Just because something is new, doesn’t mean it is right. In fact we are always finding major problems in our new construction inspections on homes that are even newer than yours. Additionally, many problems are undetectable without specialized equipment we bring on every inspection (ie leaks behind the walls). Plus, even if we do not find anything that needs immediate fixing, our inspectors almost always find things (such as poor water management) that if left unchecked, will cause thousands of dollars on down the road. It is never a bad thing to have a home inspector and letting your warranty run out without doing a final once-over.
